Join IPF Atid Chicago and ASBI YP as we dive into the most pressing topics related to the future of Zionism, the Diaspora’s relationship to the Jewish state, and Palestinian politics.  Over the course of three shabbats, guests will hear from expert speakers, having the chance to not only learn from them, but to engage with them directly, and engage in dialogue across differences.

October 7, 2022: The Troubled Committed—The Future of American Jewish Engagement With Israel

Between Birthright Israel, social media, and an entire industry dedicated to strengthening Israel-Diaspora relations,  the two largest Jewish communities are entwined in unprecedented ways. Despite this, American Jews and Israeli Jews are growing farther apart. What does this mean for the future of Israel-Diaspora relations and what can be done about it?

Join in conversation with Oren Jacobson (Project Shema), Rabbi David Wolkenfeld (ASBI), and Maya Waldman (IPF Atid Policy Fellow, Northwestern) as we answer the tough questions on the future of Jewish engagement with Israel.

Dinner will be provided.

Time: 7pm CT
Location: Private room at ASBI in Lakeview | 540 W Melrose St, Chicago, IL 60657
